ABOUT

Welcome writers, creatives, and storytellers. I am a professional copyeditor and proofreader dedicated to working collaboratively and transparently with my clients. I am called to work with writers who want to share unique and impactful stories with readers—whether through a memoir charting a remarkable life, a novel that reaches into the past or into the future to find meaning, or a cookbook that weaves culture and food together.

My wordsmithing expertise is grounded in my editing certificate and linguistics degree from the University of Washington (UW). A decade of experience in storytelling-based marketing and fundraising gave me the added skill of crafting concise, compelling text that preserves the original voice of the brand or individual. I currently edit everything from fiction and nonfiction books to reports and business communications.

I am an avid reader; I love to read and edit literary fiction, nonfiction, works in translation, horror, historical fiction, and cookbooks. I also speak French and love reading French literature. I volunteer proofread for Project Gutenberg because I will always appreciate classic literature. When I’m not madly leafing through The Chicago Manual of Style, you can find me gardening, cooking, or lounging with my two cats.
